Over an hour from Johannesburg and 40 minutes from Pretoria in the Northwest Province hides an exquisite retreat called Thaba Khaya Lodge. This beautiful lodge is part of Sable Ranch, a Private Game Reserve and proclaimed Natural Heritage site which is situated in a malaria free area. Accommodating up to 16 guests in beautifully appointed lodgings, it is the perfect destination for romance, team building, or a quiet escape from the city.
Thaba Khaya Lodge means ‘house on a rock”, which is an accurate description as the lodge sits on top of a granite outcrop. The elevated bar and pool deck offer breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, as well as a watering hole where animals often come to drink. Guests can unwind in a comfortable lounge area or on the decks by the pool and listen to the wide variety of birds.
Each room is furnished for comfort with air conditioning, soft percale cotton sheets, extra towels, coffee and tea facilities, a mini fridge, stocked upon request, and daily cleaning service. Enjoy two gourmet meals a day at Thaba Khaya Lodge. Our in-house chef delivers an unforgettable dining experience with an emphasis on game and local produce. - Conditions: The Lodge accepts Cash, EFT transfers and credit cards are subject to a commission charge. To secure your booking: A 50% deposit must be paid on receipt of the invoice. Balance to be paid 3 days in full before arrival. All guests will be required to settle their accounts for extras, beverages, laundry, etc. on departure. This can be done by credit card or local currency notes. Where no credit facility exists, all reservations shall be settled on a pre-payment basis.
